Andrew Hollinshead has taken over the license of his late father Reg Hollinshead who had a remarkable 60 year career, saddling over 1500 winners from his Upper Longdon Yard. Arguably his best horse was “Remainder Man” who finished second in the Guineas and third in the Derby. The Hollinshead family have a huge history in horse racing. Starting with Andrew’s grandfather Aubrey Hastings who had no fewer than 4 Grand National winners including Ascetic Silver who won the great race in 1907.
Reg and his son Andrew have built Lodge Farm into a yard that is most certainly up there with the best. It has been averaging 40 winners a year for the last three years.
